View Larger Image   Yankee Ratchet Spiral Screwdriver No. 31A   Description: This is a nice clean North Brothers Yankee No. 31A spiral ratchet screwdriver in very good condition. Marked "NORTH BROTHERS YANKEE NO. 31A PHILA. PA. U.S.A PAT DEC. 20, 1923 MADE IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" This is the big one, (22.25" long overall without the bit in it), offered with one removable slot screw tip. In good working condition. There is some minor wear on the handle, but over 90% of the maroon paint is intact. The exterior of the main shaft is nickel plated, and over 95% of the plating is still intact, light wear. Some Yankee screwdrivers are spring loaded in the spiral section, (quick return), this one does not, works fine. You can use this screwdriver with or without spiral or ratchet, using the adjustment setting on the main shaft.
