View Larger Image   Fulton 409 Corrigated Smooth Plane   Description: This is a rare 9.5' long x 2' wide corrigated bottom smooth plane with the raised rectangle "FULTON" mark just behind the front knob, and the raised "409" cast mark in front of the rear tote. The cutter is sharp and ready to use with plenty of usable length left, and is marked "H.S.B. & CO. REVONOC". This is a good used plane with about 85% of its black Japanning intact, good solid rosewood knob and tote (a fine line on the tote appears to be a repaired crack, but in checking it out I see no sign of chips around the line, if it was a repair, it was well done, and very solid, the line is hardly noticable). Good lateral control, and cutter depth control. The bare metal is clean, only minor stains, scratches and dings noted. A quality made early Fulton plane!
