View Larger Image   Park Metalware Wrench Set + Metal Case   Description: This is a unique patented wrench set design that features multiple different sized open end wrench heads and two handles that fits each wrench head. The set is made by PARK METALWARE CO. INC. ORCHARD PARK N.Y. XCEL MULTI-HEAD WRENCH WARRANTED PAT. APR.29.1925. Part of the inside label is intact and reads "MACHINE WRENCH". The inside of the case has about 35% of it's original paint intact, the outside has only about 5% intact. This is missing some of the interchangeable wrench heads, the 7/16, 11/16, 1/2 & 9/16" are there, but they are not marked with the actual size, rather the cap screw size. Their actual opening sizes are 5/8", 11/16, 3/4" & 7/8". On some old wrench sets like these the bolt head size was used instead of the actual opening size like newer sets. It appears the case could hold another 4-6 heads, and maybe another handle or two, but I am not sure of the size of the complete original set of wrenches. The wrench heads each fits the handle very snuggly, together with the handle form a very strong wrench. The latch on the side of the handle releases the head from the handle when desired, the latch is spring loaded. The case is all metal, with good hinge and latch, some rust staining on the outside, very solid. The case is only 3/4" thick, it is 9" long overall.
