E. M. Boynton Saw Set Pliers Large

Description:
Offering this hard to find 11" long x 7/16" wide jaws Boynton patent (Nov. 25, 1873), saw set pliers. These do have some pitting on them, but are not rusty now. There is an adjustable brass guide included. This type of saw set has an unadjustable contour that sets the teeth of the saw. It would appear to be for the larger tree service type hand saws. The unique spring feature in the handle area is in real good shape. The jaws do show some wear, but this is a useable tool. A hard to find, well thought out design!
