View Larger Image   Irwin Single Spiral Brace Auger Bit Set w/Roll   Description: This is a nice, clean set of 11 Irwin single spiral auger bits for your brace, 13 total with the No. 4/16ths and 5/16ths with the double lip/spur. All 13 are marked "IRWIN" on them, and all have a size number marked on them from 4-16, 1 of each. Irwin made two types of bits for drilling wood with your brace, these are rare, and in very nice shape. The single lip design, along with the course threaded lead screw made for fast work of drilling holes with less drag and better chip evacuation. Most of the time, depending on the wood, these drill would also tear out a bit more on a through hole, when breaking through, not a bad thing in many construction applications, but not so good in cabinet making for example. They come with a nice heavy duty original tool roll that has a Irwin label inside it, denium outside, with a softer material inside. The outside is a heavy duty cotton duck type material, the inside is a thick, smoother material, so it is washable. Each bit is marked "IRWIN MADE IN U.S.A." in the rectangular logo, on the shank, and numbered by 16ths inch from 4/16 to 16/16 or 1" in diameter. The bits are very nice, carefully used, sharp and ready to work. Some of the bits are have some darkening, but all are clean and rust free. The roll is 16" long flat, and the drills are around 9" long, and all fit in the roll under the top flap. The bits are in good+ to good++ condition, very clean with very little wear. The roll is clean, has some stains, and some minor wear, the label is a bit worn. The buckle is loose, but still works, I think it may have been attached to the strap at one time.
