🔥 Unusual Antique American WWII Trench Art Pinup Girl Painted Canteen, 1940s For Sale

This is a fantastic andUnusual Antique American WWII Trench Art Pinup Girl Painted Aluminum Canteen, with a peekaboo nude pinup girl painted on one side, who's body is fully covered up when it is inside the canteen cup. The imagery of the voluptuous nude brunette pinup girl is reflective of the era, and she wears nothing but red high heels. These painted canteens are quite uncommon, and I could only find one other example with a very similarly painted figure. I believe that both this canteen, and that one, belonged to men of the same regiment, and were probably used by soldiers on the Pacific Front. This woman is likely the nose art pinup girl that was painted on their plane. The bottom of the canteen is stamped: "US VOLRATTI 1943." The bottom of the canteen cup is stamped: "US KM Co 1945." This item is approximately 8 inches tall. The painted female figure is approximately 5 1/2 x 2 3/4 inches. Good condition for age, with expected scuffing, scratching, wear, and mild paint loss from active field use. Acquired from an old collection in Orange County, California.
