Beautiful antique 14 piece hand-painted porcelain Nippon, Japan Chocolate Set, c. 1891-1921. Features hand-painted blue birds or swallows with a blue transfer floral band, gold accents on handle and gold rim. Base with the Blue ‘Rising Sun’ Nippon mark used from 1911 -1921. Set includes a Chocolate pot with lid, measuring 7 1/2" high to spout (9" high to handle) x 6 7/8" long spout to handle and six cups and saucers, cups measure 2 3/4" high x 1 1/4" diameter, saucers measure 4 7/8" diameter. Set is in Excellent condition free of nicks or fleabites, with the exception of one cup that has a hairline on both sides of the cup as shown, little to now gilt wear, please see all photos.A fine addition to any home or collection!
