The National Convention in Revolutionary France sought to actively restructure public education and health, which led to reports to shape medical education. Reforms were partially based on reports by Fournoy, and they promoted a shift from the traditional theoretical education in favor of a model which would incorporate hospital practice. The French chemist and politician Antoine-Francois de Fournoy influenced the reorganization of medical education towards practical training which led to the creation of three \"Ecoles de Sante\". He pushed to integrate the fields of medicine with that of surgery.
The French politician Jacques Francois Charles Monnot (1743-1825) served as a member to the August 29, 1791 legislative assembly. He was re-elected to that position and voted for the death of Louis XVI. Re-elected 1795 to the \"Conseil des Cing-Cents\", he specialized in financial matters.
The French politician Jean Dyzes (1742-1830) served as a deputy on the National Assembly. He served as \"procureur general\".
