This historically important mid-19th-century Ohio legal document archive centers on John Paulson of Holmes County, Ohio, and documents a complete land and debt case involving the State of Ohio.
The group includes an 1845 land deed conveying property to the State, a mortgage document, chancery court pleadings, a sheriff’s summons, a cost bill, and original court wrappers with docket notations.
