Original April 1, 1877 printed announcement from the N.Y. Central & Hudson R.R. Hay Sheds, located at 34th Street & 11th Avenue, New York City, accompanied by its original mailed cover. Measures approximately 8.5 x 11 inches; the cover bears a 2ยข Washington stamp and is addressed to Mr. Raty Smith, Hallettsville, NY (as best read).
The circular announces the formation of the commission firm Hubbel & Williams, which would conduct business in Hay, Straw, Feed, Grain, &c. It further notes that Mr. G. Williams had withdrawn from J. Stall & Co., while J. H. Hubbel, formerly a salesman with that firm, would oversee consignors' interests. Signed in print by J. H. Hubbel and G. Williams.
