Up for offers is an antique framed marriage certificate from a wedding that took place in 1881 between a couple from Superior, Michigan. I \"believe\" the town of Superior was a former copper mining town which was located in the Keweenaw Peninsula in Michigan\'s Upper Peninsula. It is now a ghost town with few buildings or evidence of the former town being present. It was a very active mining town in the mid-1800\'s however but around 1900 the town started to decline according to brief research. The marriage took place between a George Bennette and Charlotte Cobb. The outside dimensions of the frame are 19\" x 15\" x 2\". The frame does show wear and has some wood chipping (note the worst site on one of the photo close ups). The certificate has some stains but is in overall good condition for a paper item that is 145 years old.
