1889 A T Roraback Signed Law Letter Canaan CT Cold Blooded Business Case Drama: $24.95
Measures 8.5 x 11 - Up for sale is an incredible, highly animated 1889 hand-signed legal letter from Alberto T. Roraback (future Justice of the Supreme Court of Connecticut). Writing from his Canaan, Connecticut office to George A. Humphrey, Esq. in Sheffield, Illinois, an aggrieved Roraback complains bitterly about the \"Lakeville Property\" interest involving the Kemps, Williams, and Clarence A. Matter. He explicitly calls it a \"cold blooded piece of business\" and asks if they are trying to \"sell you or me out.\" Excellent historical document detailing 19th-century legal frustrations and local Litchfield County / Lakeville history.
