Original 1894 Singer Manufacturing Company LEASE for a Singer sewing machine, issued at Cooperstown, New York, to Flora L. Clark.
Dated December 20, 1894, the agreement records Clark's rental of a Singer sewing machine identified as Style V.S. 5 dr. Oak, serial No. 12,193,844, with the machine valued at $55. The handwritten terms indicate a cash payment followed by monthly rental payments.
