Original March 3, 1905 business letter on illustrated letterhead from Owl Bayou Cypress Co. of Strader, Louisiana.
The letterhead advertises “Louisiana Red Cypress Lumber” and includes the company name, officers, and Strader, Louisiana location.
The typed letter was sent to M. P. Way & Co. of Hammond, Louisiana and concerns an iron pulley that was to be re-bored and returned by freight.
Owl Bayou Cypress Co. was part of Louisiana’s early cypress lumber industry and operated a substantial logging and mill business in Tangipahoa Parish during the early 1900s.
