Original real photo postcard showing an early baseball game in progress before a large crowd. The handwritten caption along the lower margin reads “Milford vs. Jackson” and appears to record a 10–6 score. Players are visible on the field with spectators gathered closely around the perimeter, providing an excellent view of an early New England town baseball game.
The card was mailed from Milford, New Hampshire in January 1907 and is addressed to F. W. Sutton in Forrest, Illinois. Based on the postmark and handwritten caption, the game was likely played between teams representing Milford and Jackson, New Hampshire, probably during the 1906 season. The precise team affiliations have not been confirmed.
Good overall vintage condition with age toning, light surface wear and expected edge and corner wear. The image is somewhat light but retains strong detail throughout the field, players and crowd. Please see photos for condition.
