Unique and highly collectable guidebook for Berlin
From 1911, a very rare item from Germany, in English. How to see Berlin, Potsdam and Environs. Published by Weltreisebureau-Union. Agents for Thomas Cook & Son, Unter den Linden, 5-6. With 64 pages, 7x5 inches. Great pieces of advertising from vintage cars and car services, to Department Stores, Hotels, Jewelers, and Amusement Parks. The ads alone make this book a valuable piece of historical ephemera. It should be noted that the Berlin described here was the one from right before two calamitous World Wars involving Germany, which devastated the city.
Pages are in are still in tact and the binding is still tight. There is some damage to the bottom left corner of the cover and some of the top corners have a crease from being bent as a book mark.
