1918 US NAVAL AIRCRAFT TYCOS ALTIMETER For Sale

This is an exceptionally rare and highly desirableoriginal World War I U.S. Navy aircraft altimeter manufactured by Tycos. Theseearly aviation instruments are becoming increasingly difficult to locate,especially examples bearing U.S. Navy markings. While U.S. Air Service markedTycos altimeters are occasionally encountered, authentic Navy-marked examplesare seldom offered for sale and are most often found only in advanced aviationcollections or museum displays.

The instrument measures approximately 4½ inches indiameter and presents beautifully.
