Original signed card of General Jan Syrový (1888–1970), one of the most important military leaders of interwar Czechoslovakia.
Card measures approximately 3.5\" x 4.25\" and bears Syrový\'s signature on the front along with an official purple handstamp reading \"Nácelník hlavního štábu cs. branné moci\" (Chief of the General Staff of the Czechoslovak Armed Forces). The Prague date stamp is 27 October 1927.
The reverse contains a contemporary handwritten biographical note in English identifying General Syrový as commander of Czechoslovak Army forces in Siberia during operations against the Bolsheviks following World War I and later Chief of the General Staff.
A desirable original piece relating to Czechoslovak military history, the Russian Civil War, the Czech Legion in Siberia, and interwar European history. Suitable for autograph, military, or historical collections.
