Seattle has established new records for shipments of salmon, peanuts, vegetable oil and lumber in the past and now will dispatch the largest consignment of honey to leave this Coast. The newest record in freight handling will be made when the new German motor ship Portland of the Hamburg-American Line sails from Seattle this evening for Europe with fifty tons of the product of Northwest bees as part of her cargo. The shipment is being made by the Pacific Slope Honey Company and its destination is Hamburg. The honey was loaded aboard the Portland at the Atlantic Street Pier.
