Original 1930s Hotel Brandon (Pecos, Texas) “Home on the Range” letterhead with a wonderful two-page handwritten travel letter from Elora Underwood to friends at 30 Gilbert Street, Framingham, Massachusetts.
She describes following their card and letter, her tight three-month travel schedule, the desire to visit longer, and suggests possible meeting times (“about 11:30 AM April 24th or 25th”) depending on weather and their convenience. She also mentions plans for a ride and dinner together.
The letter includes excellent cross-country travel commentary, noting she has been traveling through states bordering the Pacific, Mexico, Rio Grande, Gulf of Mexico, and the Atlantic Ocean, explaining why she hopes for at least a short visit. She signs “Elora Underwood.”
