Original November 15, 1934 business letter on an impressive illustrated Central Manufacturing Co. letterhead from connersville in. The company identifies itself as “Manufacturers of Automobile Bodies” and the large engraved-style header features a detailed bird’s-eye factory illustration with smoking stacks, railroad tracks and industrial buildings.
The letter is addressed to G. M. Doddridge & Son, Cambridge City, Indiana, and concerns an order for 1,000 DB-23002 Hex Head Casket Tops. Central Manufacturing states that 500 were being drilled and countersunk for holes on the outer edge and another 500 were being produced with additional holes according to drawings previously supplied. Delivery was expected within one week to ten days.
