Walking down Euclid Avenue, attired in a natty summer outfit "Corky" first felt the heat. Ripping off his coat, he doffed his hat and wiped a moist brow. When several steins of lager beer did not give him permanent relief, he donned a bathing suit and sipped a variety of cold drinks. Emerging from the pool, he was fanned by fair ladies when the heat again knocked him out. Finally, failing in all his attempts to cool off, he laid down on a barrel of ice cubes, and was less than half-way down to the bottom when the photographer left. Photo measures 10.5 x 8 inches. Photo Is dated 1937. PHOTO FRONT
