Original 1946 Pontiac Indian Chief Hood Ornament – Red Lucite – #508615
Original vintage 1946 Pontiac hood ornament featuring the iconic Indian Chief design with its long translucent red/amber Lucite insert.
This is an impressive and increasingly difficult-to-find original Pontiac ornament.
The original Lucite insert is still present and displays a beautiful deep amber/red coloration. It appears complete, with normal age-related surface marks and imperfections. Please examine the close-up photographs carefully for condition.
The chrome-plated metal body is also complete and retains a good shine, but shows noticeable age-related pitting, oxidation and surface wear, particularly along the sides and Indian Chief head. The mounting hardware underneath is present as shown.
This piece has not been restored and is being offered in its current vintage condition.
