Vintage U.S. Space Corps lunch box with matching Vanguard IV thermos.
This is a well-loved example that displays nicely and still includes the original matching thermos and interior thermos holder. The latch works properly and the interior is fairly clean.
Condition is very much vintage used condition. The original handle is gone and has been replaced with a rope handle. One side displays better than the other, with noticeable paint loss and scratching on the more heavily worn side. The lunch box also shows general wear, scratches, edge wear, and paint loss consistent with age and use.
The thermos is included and displays well, but it is not mint. The red outer cup has a crack extending approximately halfway up the cup. The inner stopper is also cracked. The thermos body shows stress cracks as shown in the photos.
A Chiquita sticker remains on one side of the lunch box.
