Vintage New York political campaign button lot featuring two gubernatorial campaigns from different eras.
This lot includes:
1. Paul Adams – 1966
Vintage “HAD ENOUGH – ADAMS FOR GOVERNOR – COLUMN ‘D’” campaign button. Paul Adams was the Conservative Party candidate for Governor of New York in 1966. Contemporary historical references identify the “Row/Column D” wording with the Conservative Party’s ballot position at the time.
2. Howard J. Samuels – 1974
Vintage “Governor Samuels in Seventy Four” button featuring a portrait of Howard J. Samuels. The New-York Historical Society catalogs this specific design as a 1⅜-inch pin-back button from the New York gubernatorial political-materials collection.
