Description: Here for sale is this antique French faience double inkwell. Exquisite form, featuring a balcony situation; scrollwork, baluster railing, snake handles, and resting on 5 lion's paw feet. Delicately handpainted with a genre scene featuring a courting couple; and accented with painted flowers throughout. It's a double inkwell, and also has scarce removable drawer. It's marked as shown with the early 19th CVeuve Perrin Faience logo in blue ink; circa 1830's. It includes a provenance antique store receipt from 1976.
Condition:Just typical antique wear. Slight glaze flake on a lid snake finial. Lacking the inkwell liners.No chips, cracks or repairs!Please view all of the images, as they are part of this description.
