2 Antique 1800's Bohemian Moser Emerald Green Enameled & Gold Gilt Glass Lustres
Spectacular pair of 1850s Austrian-Hungarian (Bohemian) glass lusters featuring intricate hand-enameled details and cascading crystal prisms. Designed to amplify candlelight in wealthy Victorian homes, these status symbols cast a breathtaking prismatic glow, perfect for elevating an antique mantel or centerpiece display.
Crafted from highly coveted emerald green glass and hand-painted floral swags, gold-gilt trim and delicate enamel work. The flared, scalloped rims add a dramatic silhouette. The hand-painted portraits are likely children of wealthy families.
Each luster is suspended with a cascade of hand-cut crystal prisms. When hit by sunlight or candlelight, these cut-glass drops scatter brilliant, rainbow-like refractions across the room.
In addition to being tapered candle holders, they would make lovely flower holders.
Each one is in beautiful condition. There are no chips or cracks. Some wear on the gold gilt is common with antiques of this age. All of the crystals are attached. Two of the crystals have small chips and can be seen in the last two photos.
Each one is approximately 11 inches high and 4.25 inches wide.
The utmost care will be taken when packing and shipping. They will be wrapped carefully and all of the crystals will be removed and wrapped securely as well.
