Here are 2 Different vintage 60’s robe patterns:
1. McCall’s 8506 Towel Robe: this was A VERY popular pattern from the 60’s!! This new NOS pattern is brand new, unopened.
Note that the front of the envelope has red pen scribbles on it. See photos.
It includes complete instructions for using towels and also for using regular yardage.
Everyone was making these from finished bath towels ; they were very fast and easy, cuddly and soft. They were great for the beach.
I made one of these last summer and it turned out beautifully.
2. Simplicity 6264, from 1963. Sz 16. This RARE pattern is used and cut, and the pattern envelope shows signs of heavy wear including tears, rips, folds, and writing.
It is a versatile pattern and includes nightgown, Duster/housedress and sleeveless dress with trimmed pockets.
As it is full and buttons up the front it is very easy to get on and off and may work well for someone who has difficulty lifting clothing over the head.
