Incredible piece of surviving intersectional American history. A woman and her traveling companion Billy featured in 45 black and white scrapbook photos of their travels to the American Southwest.
Circa 1920s / 1930s.
Snapshots and topics of interest include Klag-e-Toh (Klagetoh) Trading Post, sheep / packing wool, pack horses, Ganada Trading Post, Navajo families and men including "The Medicine Man" on a bear hide rug, horses, cactus, and more.
"Billy herself - Kaiser Wilhelm's god-child and Name-sake - Cowgirl, Artist, tramp." She is seen in multiple photos in pants and a long sleeve shirt, big cowboy hat, boots with spurs, bowtie and more.
Photos are on four scrapbook pages.
Scrapbook pages measure approximately 11" x 13" and the photos are of various dimensions.
