Large 6151 SS Trapper
The 6151 SS is a distinctive Case Large Trapper pattern.
Unlike the extremely common two-blade 6254 Trapper, the 6151 uses one large Clip blade in an oversized traditional Trapper frame.
Collector documentation for the 6151 identifies the pattern at approximately 5¼ inches closed and 9½ inches overall open.
The oversized frame and long single blade give the 6151 a substantially different appearance from a standard 54-pattern Case Trapper.
Rogers Jigged Antique Bone
Case officially identifies this particular #07578 configuration as:
ROGERS JIGGED ANTIQUE BONE
The genuine bone handle displays exceptional cream, honey, golden brown and very dark brown coloration, with deep traditional jigging.
The coloration becomes progressively darker toward the center/lower portion of the handle, giving this particular example substantial character.
Because bone is a natural material, coloration and jigging appearance can vary from knife to knife.
Single Stainless-Steel Clip Blade
The knife features one long polished stainless-steel Clip blade with traditional manual nail-nick opening.
The single-blade configuration allows the Large Trapper to maintain the classic Trapper profile while using a much larger frame than Case\'s standard pocket Trappers.
Engraved Bolsters
This example also features attractive decorative engraving on the polished bolsters, visible in the supplied photographs.

This knife appears to be in excellent collector condition and presents as new old stock.
The large Clip blade appears exceptionally clean and highly polished. I don\'t see obvious evidence of significant use, heavy sharpening or abuse in the supplied photographs.
The Rogers Jigged Antique Bone handle is especially attractive, displaying cream, honey, golden brown and very dark brown coloration with pronounced jigging.
I don\'t see an obvious major crack, chip or missing section of handle material in the supplied photographs.
The shield, pins and engraved bolsters present very nicely.
The original green W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Co. factory box is included and retains its matching factory label:
