This listing is for a lot consisting of roughly 25 POUNDS of bulk, mixed automotive key blanks from the 1980's and 1990's.
The blanks were part of old, unused inventory from a retired locksmith. They had been removed from a retail key board, banded and well stored. There is no significant sorting necessary, since they are banded by specific blank number/style. There are 79 individual bands and over 800 blanks in the lot!
The majority were produced by the Independent Lock Company and Curtis Industries and are solid BRASS. All have a nickel plating over the brass.
They were acquired in a storage crate that was marked "Import Auto/Motorcycle/Big 3 Import". Although we don't have a good working knowledge of specific key blank numbers for imported auto's, the label appears to be accurate. Many of the blanks are marked with various automotive nameplates for which they are designed, such as:
HONDA, VOLKSWAGEN, MAZDA, TOYOTA, SUBARU, GM, FORD and others.
There are also quite a few blank numbers with a pre-fix of "VW", "MZ", "X" and "B" that do not list a vehicle type for which it's used but they look similar to the others.
The blanks are all NEW, UNUSED and UNCUT stock that have been in storage for many years. Some may have minor dust or need a quick wipe-down but overall this lot is CLEAN!
