Among the things that we have and display are several Japanese metal cylindrical tea canisters that vary in sizes, washi paper and silk cloth designed covering and inside lid pulls. Washi 和紙 translates literally to Japanese paper where wa和 means Japanese and shi紙 means paper. Silk in Japaneses kanji is絹. All were found empty, safekept and used at estate sales, clean in good condition and were airtight with inside lids intact; kept to their near original condition without defects in the individual descriptions made in the order as the first picture above and listed below from left to right number 1 to 4 below:

Tea Canister: 6" high; 3" diameter; 4.6 oz weight;woven silk clad; metal inner lid w/ matching pull handle; bottom: few rim scrathes; ca 1970Comment: These hand decorated canisters are beautiful and were kept within insight in out kitchen. All were found gently used, empty and safekept at estate sales; clean in very good condition and were kept airtight with inside lids intact; and still in their original found condition. The first three and last picture were taken with a black felt background which shows off the colors of the washi paper and painted scene on the container with workroom lighting and the pictures in between were individual canister pictures taken in camera tent; neither the unwrapped chopsticks not the empty Asahi bottle are not for sale, but to illustrate the relative size of the canisters compared to each other and those items.
