All four original matchbooks retain matches. Three appear essentially full/unused, while one has several matches missing. Manufactured by Monarch Match Co., San Jose, California.
Tony’s was a longtime landmark of the Redondo Beach Pier. Tony Trutanich opened his original Tony’s restaurant in 1952 and later opened Tony’s Fish Market, often referred to as “New Tony’s,” in 1969.
