Very good condition with a factory edge. The blade has light scratches with no nicks or chips. The handle has a few small nicks and light scratches on the backside, with no pin cracks or chips. There is a minor, slightly visible gap between the wood scales and the solid steel tang. This is a common and highly desired indicator of authenticity for 1970s Solingen-produced Sting knives. The sheath (not original) latch does not hold the knife securely, and the knife is loose inside the sheath.
This A.G. Russell Sting I is a fixed blade knife featuring a 3-1/4" spear point, double-edged blade with a plain edge and satin mirror-polished finish. The handle scales are Cocobolo wood with honey-brown grain and dark striping, with integral construction and two large, flush-ground aluminum pins. The knife is amofferextrous, with an overall length of 6-3/4". It comes with a Cordura sheath (not original) with a plastic clip. Made in Solingen, Germany in 1977. No box included.
