This charming vintage black-and-white photograph, not a postcard, measures approximately 5 1/4 x 3 1/4 inches and has scalloped/deckled edges. The image shows a young child seated at a table, posed with a small doll held in the child’s arms and several toys arranged across the tabletop. At the left are what appear to be a small toy automobile and block-like or train-related pieces, while at the right is a toy train or locomotive-style car with visible wheels and a cylindrical top. The combination of the child’s calm expression, the doll, the toy car, and the toy train gives the photograph a wonderful mid-century childhood / playroom quality. The reverse is blank except for a small printed or stamped number, “155,” and there are no postcard markings, writing, or postal use.
