ALL ORIGINAL Vintage True Temper No. 14 Plain-Back Drain Spade w Armor D Handle For Sale

Completely original mid-century True Temper No. 14 Plain-Back Drain Spade. Features the original interlocking Armor-D wood handle. This piece has been carefully conserved rather than aggressively over-restored—loose surface rust was removed, and the factory steel and original wood have been protected with a light coat of tool oil to preserve as much of the genuine vintage patina as possible. All historical patent stamps (ending in the mid-1930s sequence) are perfectly legible. There is damage that looks to be very old on the front left lip, please view photos before buying.I restore tools as a hobby not as a profession and this was absolutely covered in rust when I purchased it. it's truly an amazing example of American manufacturing quality, especially the strapped build and one piece split Ash D handle.
