Antique late 19th-century Catholic rosary, dating to approximately the 1880s–1890s, featuring beautiful dark rosewood prayer beads with carved floral spacer beads and original period construction.
The rosary is assembled with hand-formed twisted wire links, giving it the character and construction associated with antique devotional pieces of the period. The crucifix is a detailed stamped-metal example with an applied Corpus and a distinctive Marian “M” mark at the center.
The rosewood beads have developed a rich, warm patina from age and use, while the metal components display natural oxidation and age-related patina. The rosary remains intact and presents beautifully.
