This exceptional piece was sourced directly from an estate lot belonging to Henry Ellis Warren in Ashland, MA. Known globally as the brilliant inventor and the \"Father of Electric Time,\" Warren\'s estate contained a massive wealth of history.

About the Image
The glass negative features an incredibly crisp, highly detailed look at a c. 1890s Victorian Shingle Style cottage. The house boasts ornate roof cresting, elaborate trim work, and a wide front porch. A large family group in full late-19th-century attire is gathered across the porch and steps. Detailed Condition Report
Please read the physical condition points carefully before offerding, as I have chosen to leave this artifact entirely untouched to preserve its historical integrity:
- Emulsion, Dust & Smudges: There is some surface dust and a few minor fingerprints or smudges present on the emulsion side. These are visible when the negative is unlit, or when light catches it at a certain angle.
- Minor Scratches: There are a few light, superficial surface scratches scattered on the plate, consistent with a piece that is over 130 years old.
- Emulsion Care: I have intentionally not cleaned or wiped the plate to avoid causing any permanent damage to the delicate antique emulsion.
- Ajar Left Corner Frame Fault: The ornate metal channel frame is visually beautiful and retains its hanging loops. However, the bottom-left corner seam is slightly open/ajar.
- Hanging Warning: The frame holds together securely when lifted flat or held evenly by the string. However, if you hang it directly on a nail, the weight imbalance causes the loose corner to pull apart. Do not hang this item as-is. The buyer will need to easily reinforce or secure this metal corner seam before displaying it on a wall.
