Ideal gift for special occasions or collectors. This is a very high quality porcelain, the plate looks like a Sevres, despite it has not the usual painted seals.The plate shows minimal wear, very partial and some small marks on the back from having been hung for many years.Received by inheritance. No original packaging.
Historically, the Sèvres manufactory occasionally sold unpainted white porcelain pieces due to excess inventory, particularly plates from the Series 46 (\"S.46\").
In this case, the piece\'s porcelain quality and the name of the person of the painting portrait depicted match the technique and conditions of the \"Sèvres S.46\" marked plates, but it lacks the usual painted seals.
The explanation lies in the fact that some of the artists who officially produced this plate acquired original blank plates, which they painted and sold independently or in unofficial workshops, outside the records of the authorized Sèvres factories.
Therefore, this is an original piece, painted as is, and will appear as if it were a stamped plate, but without the Sèvres stamps on the back.
