Beautiful True Antique Hand Stitched Lamp Shade

A TRUE ANTIQUE from England with some age wear.
A hand made one-of-a-kind shade.Sheer ruching / pleating, lace, thick fringe and an eye-catching shape make for a stunning piece!
From an antique collection out of an English home and brought to the U.S. in the mid-1900's.This was atop large solid wood floor lamp marked on the underside: Major J.M. Smyth, Dripshill House, Hanley Castle, Worcester.
A lovely size for a floor lamp or large table lamp - a wonderful statement piece.
From a non-smoking environment - no smoke odors or musty odors.
This listing is for the lamp shade only - no lamp or finial included - these are sold separately in our store.
As the fabric is very fragile, it has some rips and tears in it, as well as some stains. These issues are for the most part on one side of the shade, so this area could be turned toward the back if your lamp is near a wall. The interior fabric has a one inch tear in the panel across from that main damaged area.
