APRIL 1948 PALESTINE LETTER war with ISRAEL NAQBA ARABS FLEEING FOOD SHORTAGE:
$250.00

This HISTORIC unpostmarked (it was sent thru the army) letter is dated 4/23/1948. A (soon to become) Israeli/Haganaj Soldier (he was technically still a palestinian) is sending his girlfriend a letter on the current situation in Palestine. Here are a few quotes from the letter that show the historic nature of this letter:"The road to Jerusalem is open...food is streaming into the Holy City...Partition is already completed Arab towns, villages and roads are full of Arab refugees...some 30,000arabs have fled from Haifa to Acre...the victory of Haifa will leave large forces free to to operate against the enemy...the Haganah can beat the "Arab Armies of Liberation"...Jaffa is also being evacuated...life in Tel Aviv is "as usual".... AND MORE!!This letter was written just 3 short weeks before fighting started between Israel and its neighbors! There's much information here of historical value.
The letter was written using a Palestine Post pre-stamped enveloped. You just can't make something like this up!SEE THE REST OF MY BRITISH MANDATE PERIOD ITEMS HERE ON !
