DETAILS: Original photograph of an African American trainer attending to the needs of a professional boxer. Circa 1940. The inscription indicates that it was taken in Hawaii and is dedicated to the trainers wife. Note that heprominently displayshis wedding band in the photograph. Also note the giant size of the trainer compared to that of the boxer. We have been unable to identify theboxer who is looking into the camera. If you recognize him, let us know. Measures 8" x 10" inches.
