Ancient Iron Arrowhead Roman Byzantine Armor Piercing Three Lobed Balkans For Sale

An ancient Roman Byzantine empire trilobite arrowhead made of iron with a tang and dating to 600 AD or so. From the Danube River in the Balkans. The point is about 2 5/8\" in length. The three lobes are designed to piece armor. The tang is a nice example of Roman technology: it was easier to make than a socket, just as effective, and the resulting split shaft prevented the arrows from being shot back.
Good dug condition as shown. Solid and stable. Displays really well.
