Ansonia Crystal Regulator Mantel Clock Antique Vintage Early 1900s Running Chime For Sale

Made by the Ansonia Clock Company in NY, USA circa 1900.This antique open escapement mechanical clock keeps excellent time.It chimes once on the hour and once on the half-hour. It should count the hours with the gong, but it seems to be stuck on 1:00, so only strikes once for the hours.Also, the chime happens XX:02 and XX:32 instead of at XX:00 and XX:30.Long ago, it looks like someone painted the brass with an antiquing gold paint, and it was not done well.The 4 1/2" dial face is porcelain and the inner face is cracked (see photo).The front door and two sides all have beveled glass, the rear door does not.The key fits, but it is made by the Waterbury Clock Company and not original to this clock.Clock is 10 2/4" high by 6 1/4" wide and 5 1/4" deep, weighs 9 lbs!Apple and ruler are for scale only and not included in this sale.I will ship free to the USA.
