Antique 1863 "Somebody's Luggage" Miniature Suitcase Locket Pendant

This rare, genuine 19th-century novelty locket was produced as a commercial souvenir celebrating the famous 1863 New York wedding of P.T. Barnum’s performers, "General" Tom Thumb (Charles Stratton) and Lavinia Warren. The exterior design mimics a tiny travel trunk with embossed buckled straps and features the stamped title "Somebody's Luggage"—a nod to the popular 1862 Charles Dickens story.
**Condition Details (Please Read):**
* **Exterior:** The gilt brass casing is in good antique condition with a beautiful natural patina and clear, legible embossing. The original top hanging loop and side closing latch are fully intact and functional.
* **Interior:** Please note that the original accordion photo strip and inner frames are missing. The interior contains visible white paper remnants and dried organic adhesive residue from where the photo strip was originally anchored.
