Original late-Victorian railroad and freight accounting ledger dating from 1893–1894, with handwritten business entries connected to Pontiac, Michigan.
The alphabetically indexed pages record railcar numbers, checks, shipments and commodities including coke, lime, maize, cement and sewer pipe. Businesses named in the entries include Philadelphia & Reading Coal and Iron Co., Bennett Sewer Pipe Co., Noble & Company and others.
One notable entry is headed “Pontiac Mich Saturday September 15th 1894.” The interior also bears a “Double Index” patent stamp dated July 28, 1874.

MEASUREMENTS
Approximately 15.5inches tall × 11 inches wide × 3 inches thick.
Approximately 14 pages contain handwriting.
CONDITION DETAILS
Authentic antique condition with substantial exterior wear. The leather has scuffs, scratches, peeling and areas of surface loss, particularly at the spine ends, corners and edges. The covers show fading, discoloration and general handling wear.
Interior pages have expected age toning, scattered spotting and occasional minor marks. The photographed handwritten entries remain clear and readable. Most pages are unused or blank.
