Antique 19 Century Vintage Spanish Rapier Sword - Fabrica De Toledo - 38" Blade:
$450.00

Item Description:

Up for sale is a magnificent, authentic 19th to early 20th-century European Flamberge Rapier Sword, handcrafted at the world-renowned Royal Weapons Factory in Toledo, Spain. This is a full-scale, historical revival combat-style sword featuring immense metallurgical skill, not a cheap modern replica or tourist prop.

The base of the 38-inch blade is clearly stamped with the official factory hallmark: "HECHO EN ESPAÑA" over "FABRICA DE TOLEDO."

Key Specifications:

* Total Length: 43 Inches

* Blade Length: 38 Inches

* Blade Style: Undulating Flamberge (Wavy Flame Blade)

* Hilt Configuration: Traditional Renaissance-style crossguard featuring dual protective side rings (Pas d'Ane)

* Grip: Flawless, tightly wound multi-strand wire wrap with a classic scent-bottle pommel

Historical & Craftsmanship Details:

The distinct flamberge edge was historically favored during the late Renaissance to disrupt an opponent's parry and maximize thrusting effectiveness. Forging a uniform, balanced 38-inch undulating blade without warping the steel requires master-level craftsmanship. The Toledo Arsenal was highly celebrated for producing these grand display pieces for the libraries and estates of wealthy European families during the late 19th-century historic revival era.

Condition Report:

This sword remains in highly desirable, untouched condition. It possesses a beautiful, deep uniform brown oxidation patina across the entire iron crossguard and blade, showcasing its genuine age. The hilt assembly is solid, and the intricate wire grip remains perfectly tight and intact. The factory stamp remains sharp and highly legible. (Please review the photos carefully to evaluate the historic surface patina).

offer with confidence on a verified piece of Spanish sword-making history!
