Antique 1900’s Wolf Safety Lamp Co. New York Safety Caroffere Miners Lamp
This lamp was found hanging in a barn in the Scranton PA area. It was covered in dirt, dust, and cobwebs as it was probably not moved for decades.
This miners lamp has its original brass manufacturers tag and is only missing its brass rounded shield which reflected the flame. It has scratches and wear from years of use and being stored where it was. If you shake it, it sounds like there is still some benzene or naphtha chunks inside.
It measures about 11.5 inches with the hook and 7.5 inches without it.
This is a great piece of mining history found in an area known for mining anthracite and would look great on a shelf.
