This antique “Plantation” cigar box carries over a century of history in its worn paper labels, tax stamps, and beautifully detailed artwork. Open the lid and you’re transported straight into the early 1900s — river ports, tobacco warehouses, steamships, and corner cigar shops where a local businessman might stop in after work for a hand-rolled cigar wrapped in cedar and sealed with pride. The interior label artwork featuring “Tobacos Exquisitos” and the ornate Plantation branding still hold an incredible presence more than 120 years later.

What makes this example especially compelling is the Wisconsin connection to John Stoffel, giving it a strong regional advertising and tobacconiana appeal.
