Antique 1908 B.P.O.E. Scranton Elks "Coal Scuttle" Reunion Medal For Sale

A highly collectible 1908 fraternal convention medal from the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (B.P.O.E.). This piece commemorates the 2nd Annual Pennsylvania Reunion held in Scranton, PA. The medal features a top star with a blue enamel clock and elk head, suspending a unique cast-metal coal scuttle charm. Marked on the reverse by local maker "Fuhrman, Scranton." A fantastic piece of Scranton "Coal Era" memorabilia.

Condition:Good antique condition. Shows a heavy, authentic aged patina and some oxidation (verdigris) on the metal, which is common for these mixed-metal souvenir pieces. The enamel on the top star remains largely intact.
